Dr. John Walker, MD

Dr. John Walker, MD, is a highly experienced plastic surgeon serving patients in Lawndale, California.

Originally from South Africa, Dr. Walker earned his medical degree from the University of the Free State Medical School in Bloemfontein in 1995. He went on to complete extensive surgical training in both South Africa and the United States, including advanced training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at institutions such as the University of Southern California (USC) and Case Western Reserve University.

With more than 30 years of experience in medicine and surgery, Dr. Walker has dedicated his career to helping patients look and feel their best through thoughtful, personalized care. His approach combines technical expertise with an understanding that every patient has unique goals, concerns, and reasons for seeking treatment.

Throughout his career, Dr. Walker has held leadership positions at several respected Southern California surgical centers, including serving as Director of Aesthetic Skin Care at Beverly Hills Surgical Institute and Medical Director at Beacon Point Surgery Medical Center. He has also practiced as an attending cosmetic plastic surgeon at multiple accredited surgical facilities throughout the region.

Today, Dr. Walker focuses on providing cosmetic and reconstructive procedures in a welcoming environment where patients feel informed, respected, and supported. He is known for creating natural-looking results that complement each patient's individual features rather than following trends or one-size-fits-all ideals.

Dr. Walker is a member of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery and the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Outside of medicine, he serves on the board of directors of Long Beach Organic, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping community members grow their own food through urban gardening initiatives.

When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Walker remains committed to continuing education and advanced surgical training, regularly collaborating with colleagues from around the world to stay current on the latest developments in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
